Swedish  Brownies

Brown butter brownies with nuts are just the best treat for a Swedish  Fika.


Butter Dark chocolate Eggs Sugar Dark cocoa powder Wheat flour Baking powder Salt Vanilla extract Walnuts or pecans

Step 1

Line an 8x12-inch pan with parchment paper. 

Step 2

Brown your butter: Butter develops a nutty aroma and brown bits start to form at the bottom.

Step 3

Add in the slightly chopped chocolate and stir until melted.

Step 4

Beat eggs and sugar on medium-high speed until completely fluffy in texture.

Step 5

Mix the dry ingredients together and add to the egg whip through a sieve.

Step 6

Mix at a low speed for some seconds and pour in the butter and chocolate mix. 

Step 7

Add in the chopped nuts.

Step 8

Pour the batter into your pan and even it out with a spatula. Bake for 25 minutes. 

Let the brownies cool down before serving.
