Ingredients
Butter
Molasses or dark corn syrup
Heavy cream
Sugar
Flour
Bicarbonate
Ground ginger
Ground cinnamon
Ground cloves
Ground green cardamom

1. Whisk together the flour, ginger, cinnamon, cloves, cardamom, baking soda, and salt in a large bowl. Set aside.
Instructions
2. Melt the butter, sugar, molasses, and heavy cream in a saucepan.
3. Combine wet ingredients with the dry ingredients. Stir together until a dough forms.
4. Chill in the refrigerator overnight.
5. Roll out on a well-floured surface. Use cookie cutters to cut into shapes and place them on the prepared baking sheets.
6. Gather the scraps and roll them out again on a floured surface.
7. Place your ginger thins spaced out, since they spread a bit in the oven.
8. Bake for about 5 minutes. Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before moving them to a wire rack to cool completely.
Decorate them with icing or enjoy them as they are.
